0913 Last night, I was worried that my car trouble might result in costly repairs, but fortunately, it turned out to be a minor issue and did not cost me anything. I was greatly relieved. Many thanks to everyone at the auto repair shop and the gas station for your kind assistance. It ended up costing only 45,000 yen at Yellow Hat. They removed some rust around the wheels, replaced the battery, changed the engine oil and oil filter, replaced the air-conditioning filter, and topped up the windshield washer fluid. That is quite a long list of maintenance work! (laughs) They also carried out as comprehensive an inspection of the engine area as they could, and fortunately, they found no particular problems. From now on, I plan to have the engine checked more thoroughly whenever the car undergoes its regular vehicle inspection.
